NCRF Highlights Angel Program’s Aimee Goldberg
(MPLS, MN)—Aimee Goldberg, CEO and partner of Benchmark Reporting Agency, was recently honored for her participation in the National Court Reporters Foundation (NCRF) Angel Program, supporting the advancement of court reporting and captioning professions.
Goldberg, a contributing member of the program since 2008, is one of over 100 Angels who support the Foundation which provides legal and continuing education, scholarships and grants, mentoring, and oral histories to court reporting students and new professionals, law students, young attorneys and judges.
“I am a firm believer in supporting and giving back to our profession,” said Goldberg. “NCRF supports our profession in many ways, creating exposure, building awareness and knowledge about our industry. NCRF also provides financial support to students with scholarships and programs designed to enhance their education.”
One program, the Oral History program, pays a student’s NCRF dues upon completion of two oral histories, giving them access to resources only available to NCRA members, including the Journal of Court Reporting, which dedicates itself to the court reporting, captioning and legal video professions in a variety of formats.
Coincidentally, it is also Goldberg’s favorite NCRF program. “It allows our profession to shine by providing a written record of those who were interviewed as a part of world events that should never be forgotten,” she says. “This is a prime example of the far-reaching power of the written word.”
NCRF supports the court reporting and captioning professions through philanthropic activities funded through charitable contributions, promoting excellence among those who capture and convert the spoken word to text. The Angels Program is a major source of support for NCRF, committing to the future of the profession through donations.
