Logging in is easy and allows our clients to make depo requests, download transcripts, access their calendar, and check account activity.
All that is needed is a User ID and Password provided by Benchmark Reporting Agency. Request user ID and password now.
Once signed in, visit the Home page to see upcoming depositions and any recently uploaded files. By simply clicking the blue items in the first column reveals details for each.
To schedule a new deposition or to change or cancel a previously scheduled deposition, click Online Orders.
Set up a new deposition request by clicking “new” and completing the relevant information such as firm and attorney names. Required fields include “ordered by” and “reply e-mail.”
Scheduling a deposition works best for the client and Benchmark when the information in the General Information section is complete. Clients will be asked to enter the following information:
Request Type – New Depo or Cancel Depo
Depo Type – Single or Multiple (enter a range of dates if multiple)
Depo Date – Type in date or choose a calendar date in the Date Navigator
Depo Time – Type in the time – the time zone should match the location of the deposition
Length – Use the drop-down to select an estimated length
Case Name – Enter the brief caption
Case No. – Enter the court assigned case number
Deponent – Enter the witness name
Expert – Indicate if the witness is an expert witness
Trial Date – Enter the trial date or choose a calendar date in the Date Navigator if applicable
Federal – Indicate if the case is a federal case
County – Enter the court or county of jurisdiction
Depo Location – Enter a location; if this field is blank, Benchmark will assume the location is the client’s office
Client Matter# – Enter file or reference number
Any additional information may be added under the Special Request or Remarks fields.
Following the Additional Information section, billing information must be entered. If, as a Benchmark client, you are to be billed, click the Same as Ordering checkbox. Otherwise our clients must enter the name of the third party company to be billed as well as an individual’s name, the address, claim number, name of the insured, and the date of loss (such as the date of an accident).
Necessary files such as deposition notices can easily be attached and sent with the deposition request.
Clicking Save submits the request to Benchmark. Clicking Back returns you to the Online Orders screen.

Save time and reduce errors! When making a new depo request on a continuing case, copy a previous depo request to create a new one.
Search for a previous request. Once found, click Replicate. Every field from the selected request except Ordered By, Reply Email, and Depo Date will be copied!
Once Benchmark receives a deposition request, changes can’t be made to that specific request online. Any necessary changes other than the depo date can be made by resubmitting the request. To change or reschedule the depo date, the original request must be canceled and replicated as a new request.
When a deposition is canceled, send Benchmark a cancel request. Search for the request using one of the parameters such as Case Name, Client Matter Number, Deponent or Depo Date in the Search By drop-down.
Simply select the request to be canceled by clicking the depo date. Enter the person the request is cancelled by and their email address. Clicking Cancel submits the canceled request to Benchmark. Clicking Backreturns you to the Online Orders screen without saving the request.
Benchmark Tip….
Deposition requests made via phone, fax, or email but not via online can still be canceled online!
Benchmark clients no longer have to wait to receive files! With Internet access clients can download them anytime and anywhere.
Simply click Repository in the navigation bar and search for a deponent using the parameters in the Search By drop-down. All potential matches will be listed. Click a deponent to list the files available for download. Click the Download button, then click Save to download to your disk or hard drive.
Benchmark maintains a realtime calendar which means clients can access up-to-date information about their scheduled depositions anytime and from anywhere. Click Calendar in the navigation bar and search for a depo using one of the parameters in the Search By drop-down.
Billed and cancelled jobs may be excluded by clicking the appropriate boxes. All potential matches will be listed. Click the job number to see more details.
Should the depo selected have files in Benchmark’s Repository, Repository Files will be available with a Download icon to easily download files.

See all depos scheduled for a month! Select the Calendar Style in the View Style drop-down to change the calendar view. Display a deponent’s name and the attorney in a popup window to see more details.
Look up invoices and monitor which ones have been paid and what is still owed using the Activity function in Clients Online.
Click Activity in the navigation bar and search for an invoice using one of the parameters in the Search By drop-down. All potential matches will be listed. See invoice information by clicking on the invoice number.
