Benchmark offers training and support to familiarize and assist litigators and paralegals with LiveNote’s transcript management software. We are knowledgeable about the entire family of LiveNote litigation support software products, including:
Engate Compliant™
Benchmark has adopted and become Engate Compliant™ through use of LiveNote's realtime licensing program which allows us to provide Engate Compliant™ realtime services. Providing Engate Compliant™ realtime services eliminates the possible risk of lawsuits for realtime deposition services affecting our reporting agency, including our court reporters and, potentially, our clients.
LiveNote Instant Messaging
LiveNote provides user friendly and secure instant messaging connections via Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL protocol ensures complete instant messaging security, including data encryption, server authentication, message integrity, and optional client authentication.
Streaming transcript and instant messages are transmitted using SSL, together with encryption that is more secure than most Internet banking sites. With no need to change firewall rules, it is possible to connect from anywhere in the world. SSL is also what we use to secure our transcript repository.

LiveNote SR
LiveNote SR (Security and Replication) is used by larger organizations which store transcript files on a network with multiple users. Through an administrator module, LiveNote SR allows firms to manage network access to sensitive cases by requiring user name and password information to enable access. User groups with restrictions can be created and different levels of security can be set, which ensures the maintenance of client confidentiality.
LiveNote SR also provides enhanced user-friendly capabilities, such as the ability to send instant messages to other team members during a realtime transcript session, and to receive realtime transcript text directly from a court reporter from anywhere in the world.
Transcript markups can easily be made to a transcript, including: attaching files to an annotation, marking a line of transcript with an issue using a single keystroke, and annotating a transcript while connected to a court reporter, or later when offline.
If changes are made to a case while away from the office, LiveNote SR allows the information to be easily merged with the master case upon the litigator's return to the office. Some of the newest features to LiveNote SR include:
- Automatic Exhibit Linking - Receive final transcripts with all deposition exhibits already scanned and hyperlinked into the transcript.
- Realtime Audio Streaming - An audio feed from a deposition, arbitration or trial streams directly to a PC using LiveNote software. Remote attendees can hear, as well as see, written testimony.
- Exchange Instant Messages - Communicate with remote viewers during a deposition using realtime feed by exchanging instant messages over the Internet.
- Instant Message Saving - Saved messages are stored in a messages folder related to the realtime transcript to which they apply.
- Video Clips - Create video clips by using the annotation feature.
- Store Secure Cases in Multiple Locations - Secure cases can be stored in multiple locations and on multiple servers to provide flexibility in your data storage structure.
- Export Reports into Excel - LiveNote reports can be saved as comma-separated-values files for loading into Excel and other database programs.
